Privacy policy

Cognifyze is the data controller for personal data collected through cognifyze.com.

For any privacy question, request, or complaint, reach us through our contact form. We aim to respond within 15 days.

From the early-access form: your full name, work email, company name, and the optional message you send us.

From the careers form: your full name, contact details, the role you're applying for, the answers you provide in the form, and your CV file (PDF or Word document).

From your browser, when you accept analytics cookies: pages you visit, time on page, scroll depth, clicks on CTAs, the page that referred you, and any UTM parameters in the URL. Your IP address is anonymized by Google Analytics before it's stored.

Technical data we always collect to operate the site: a short-lived bot-protection token from Cloudflare Turnstile (used only to verify you're not a bot, then discarded), and standard server request logs from our hosting infrastructure.

To evaluate your job application and contact you about the hiring process.

To measure how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it: which pages are visited, which CTAs convert, where traffic comes from.

To protect the site against spam and abuse.

Under GDPR (EU/UK) and LGPD (Brazil), we rely on the following legal bases:

Consent: for analytics and marketing cookies. You give consent through the cookie banner and can withdraw it at any time by clearing your browser storage or contacting us.

Pre-contractual measures: for processing your early-access or careers form submission, because you're asking us to take steps before entering into a relationship.

Legitimate interest: for security measures (Turnstile, server logs) and aggregated analytics that don't identify you individually.

We use a small set of trusted processors to operate the site. We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising purposes outside what's needed to run our own campaigns.

Resend: to deliver email notifications when you submit a form. resend.com

Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): to measure aggregated site usage. Loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. Configured with IP anonymization. policies.google.com/privacy

Cloudflare (Turnstile): to verify that form submissions come from real humans, not bots. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Hosting infrastructure: our provider serves the site and processes standard request logs.

We use cookies in three categories:

Strictly necessary: required to run the site (security, language preference, session). These don't require consent and can't be turned off.

Analytics: Google Analytics 4. Off by default; only set after you click Accept in the cookie banner.

Marketing: used to measure campaigns. Off by default; only set if you accept.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the localStorage entry `cognifyze.consent.v1` in your browser, after which the banner will appear again.

Some of our processors (Google, Cloudflare, Resend) operate from the United States and other countries outside Brazil and the EU. When personal data is transferred, we rely on the processor's standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions where available, and the safeguards each provider publishes.

Early-access submissions: up to 24 months from submission, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.

Careers submissions: up to 12 months from submission to consider you for future roles, then deleted unless you ask us to keep your CV longer.

Analytics: Google Analytics retains aggregated event data for 14 months in our property configuration.

Server logs: typically 30 days.

Under GDPR and LGPD you have the right to:

• Confirm whether we process your data and access a copy. • Correct incomplete, inaccurate, or out-of-date data. • Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements. • Withdraw consent at any time (for processing based on consent). • Object to processing based on our legitimate interest. • Receive your data in a portable format. • Lodge a complaint with the ANPD (Brazil) or your local supervisory authority (EU/UK).

To exercise any of these rights, send the request through our contact form using the email address you used. We'll respond within one month under GDPR or 15 days under LGPD.

We host the site with HTTPS enforced, run Cloudflare Turnstile on forms to block automated abuse, and limit access to lead and applicant data to people who need it for the purpose above. No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect an incident, please reach out through our contact form.

The site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted a form, contact us and we'll delete the data.

We may update this policy as the product and our processors change. The 'Last updated' date at the top reflects the most recent substantive change. For significant changes we'll surface a notice on the site.
